DVGW for a visit in Lübeck

In September 2011 fourteen members of the district group Gera of the DVGW (German Association for Gas and Water) from Central Germany paid a visit to Lübeck to attend Mankenberg‘s tailor-made seminar „Selection and Application of Control Valves made easy“.

The attendees gained an insight into the eventful history of our company from the very beginning in the city of Heide and later in Sczeczin with the manufacture of steam valves and valves for seagoing vessels until today‘s product development in Mankenberg’s research and development department.

Mankenberg can look back on more than 30 years of experience in deep-drawing. In 1979 the pressure reducing valve of the type DM 662 was the first one to be manufactured from deep-drawn stainless steel. Half a year later production of the deep-drawn version of the bleeding/venting valves EB 1.12/EB 1.32 was commenced. In the meantime the manufacture of deep-drawn valves from various stainless steels and/or special material has become an integral part of Mankenberg’s production whereby such valves have great benefits especially with regard to their lower weight.

The attendees of the district group Gera of the DVGW were impressed by the variety and flexibility of Mankenberg’s production department, the wide product range as well as of the good working atmosphere
